Chapter Five

His POV

I’m treating her breakfast.. or, you can call it brunch, it’s already 10am
I didn’t really expect that she would invite me in her room, I mean who’s on the right mind that will let a stranger in her room? unless she trust me?!

I shook that thought off my head

now that we’re sitting, about to eat our brunch, I stared at her

“how are you doing that?!” I burst out
she just looked at me, confused

“what?” she asked
“how do you use chopsticks?!” I asked
she just chuckled

“if you don‘t know how to use one, why don‘t you just go get a spoon and fork?”
“I want to learn how to use those”

“if you want to, maybe now is not the good idea” she said
“why?!”

“I think you‘re already hungry, I‘ll teach you next time -- umm, that is, if we get to eat again together”
I felt sad about what she said, I don’t know, but somehow I enjoy her company

“okay” then I stood up to get my spoon and fork, she’s still using the chopsticks though

“hey, I don‘t know you‘re name yet” I said
“hmm? my name?”
“yeah, mind telling?”
“umm, I don‘t think it‘s a good idea to know my name”
“huh?! what are you saying? why?”

“I mean, if you wouldn‘t know my name, and I wouldn‘t know yours, our attachment to each other won‘t be that deep, I wouldn‘t care for you that much as to you to me, after our trips together we can forget about each other, just mere strangers who traveled together for a couple of days”

okay ouch, but I get her point, and fine, if that’s what she wants.
now, no ones talking, we’re just both finishing our meals

“why or how did you get separated with your mates?” she suddenly asked
I can’t answer yet, I can’t state the freaking reason

“and why are you alone?” I asked, leading her to another topic
“I‘m here for a friends wedding. you?”
“just touring, why are you alone? don‘t you have a boyfriend or something?”
“I do, but he knows that I‘m with another friend”
“why didn‘t you tell him the truth?”
“he‘ll get mad, he wouldn‘t let me go here, you see he‘s an over protective guy, and kinda strict on me”
“I think you should break up with that kind of guy”
“what?! why did you say so?”

“don‘t let him rule your life, it‘s supposed to be a give and take relationship, not just the other telling the other what to do to his/her life. you‘re a lady need I remind you? you can have your own decisions”

“I see your point, but I love this guy” she said in a low voice

Love. what a sh*t word!
I became quiet
I don’t want to butt in to their relationship, I guess giving advice is the least I can do for her now

“where are you going now by the way?” I asked
“mmm, since we‘re here at Sentosa already, I‘m going at the Universal Studios”
“can I come?” I asked
“sure, I don‘t want to look like a loner in there” she said with a smile
I smiled too, her smile is contagious for goodness sake!

we took a long walk at Boardwalk, and boy do I hate that walk! whew!

smile took over my face as I see the entrance to Universal Studios

“I‘ll go get tickets” she said
“do you want me to go with you?”
“no, it‘s okay if you want to look around for a while..”
“okay, I‘ll be back as soon as you got the tickets”

I saw a chocolate factory-like shop not that far, boy do I love chocolates, so I entered.

ooohhhhh!! heaven! I’m looking for some Hershey’s chocolates, and I see them at the other end of the shop.

there are souvenir shelves that I passed through, and one person always pops to my mind while looking at them

after I think 10mins of just strolling around the shop, I went out to look for Her

she already got the tickets so we went in

she’s walking in front of me and I’m just following her wherever she goes
while looking at her, I can’t help my self but observe her, she’s kind of a delicate, fragile, sensitive --

*snap snap*

“huh?”
“day dreaming?” she asked with a smirk on her face
“no way” I answered, I can feel my face warm, damn this
“really?” she asked again with that playful smile on her lips
“really!” I answered
“okay, sabi mo eh.. bahala ka dyan, sundan mo ko buong araw”
what did she said?! seriously! can I get a translator here or something?!

she suddenly turned left so I followed her again

“ang bagal mo naman!”
“what?!” I asked a bit irritated
“ay, sorry naman, I said you walk too slow” then she grabbed my hand

*lub-dub lub-dub lub-dub* 
[a/c: okay you know the drill people.. that‘s a heartbeat.. sorta kind of a heartbeat? yeah deal with it, I can‘t make a real heartbeat sound.. haha, and why am I speaking in English? pft >.<]

okay, so what the hell is this pounding in my chest?

the last time I felt this is -- I was with Jestine

Jestine is my girlfriend -- ex girlfriend to be precise -- she dumped me -- over the phone ..

from that moment on, I don’t know what to do with my life anymore, so end up at the bridge attempting to kill myself.. which is kind of stupid of me cause I know how to swim.. I’m an idiot, I know.

why did she dump me? well cause --

what the?! someone’s poking me???

“what the hell do you think you‘re doing?”

“I thought -- I mean you‘re not talking, not responding, you‘re just staring at the blank air, you‘re even letting me drag you around! I thought you turned into a zombie” she said with that freaking smile of hers

“weirdo!” is my only answer

“sus, ako pa daw ang weirdo.. sya kaya tong nakatulala sa kawalan”
“I can‘t understand what you‘re saying, don‘t you think it‘s kind of unfair?”
“nope” she said then she dragged me again

I hate you, you little dwarf-like creature! girl! You! urgh!
I wish I could just squeeze you, you’re so little yet you drag me like a broom!!

we’re waiting here, at the long long long!!! line to who knows where!
actually it’s like a castle

I hear commotion, I was ignoring it till this crazy girl here slapped my arm!!
“hey look!! it‘s Shrek and Fiona!!” she said pointing at those two characters

“I wish to be like Fiona” she said dreamingly, dude that made my eyebrow raised
“and why in the world would like to be like her?”
“cause she found true love”
“what?! that‘s crazy talk! why, is your ‘prince’ isn‘t enough for you?” I said with small laughs in between

she rolled her eyes then turned her back on me

“you know a girl can always dream”

oww, wrong choice of words again.

“anyway, where are we going again?”
“in their castle” she answered
“who‘s castle? Shrek and Fiona?”
“yep, so just wait okay! you‘re so annoying”
“oh yeah?”

then I went in front of her
she’s looks up to me, well you know she smaller than me so yeah.

I’m staring at her
she looked at the other way but I’m still staring at her
